On Sunday November 26th, CIBC held its annual Christmas party for employees' kids. I bought Chocho a ticket and we went down to the Metro Convention Center together. There was a Bob The Builder show starting at noon, and we made it just in time for it. We didn't get seats as we got there right about noon, so we had to stand at the back. Chocho was sitting on Mike's shoulders. He had fun only for a little bit because after Bob started talking too much, he got bored. He recognized Bob, though. He pointed at him when Bob showed up on stage.

The party was alot of fun for kids, but it's definitely more fun for bigger kids. There weren't too many things that was good for infants. Chocho was only able to play in the ball pit. That was the only he could play in. The others like jumping castles, & slides, etc., looked alot of fun but not for him.
When he was in the ballpit, he started sinking in. It got to the point where only his head was visible. His entire body was covered by balls. It was funny, but we got quite worried for a while. There were a bunch of coloured balls, and then there was this big (sort of baldy) head of his. Pretty funny. Then there was a little girl who came towards him. First they had their staring moments. They just sat there and looked at eachother. I can totally hear the love tunes playing. And then another girl came over to his other side. And they had a moment as well. After a while, one of the girl was passing balls to him, and he was throwing it to the other girl. It was hilarious.

Here's one of the staring moments:

He also got to see Santa, but he cried. He didn't want to be with Santa, maybe because Santa was too sweaty by that time. He cheered up once he got his gift, though. He also saw Scooby there, but didn't get to get a proper picture.
That night was when he started to walk by himself. We were so surprised when he did it the first time without holding on to anything. Usually we would hold his hands and help him out, but this time he actually pushed my hand away and went out on his own. He fell a couple of times and actually went back up on his own, without any help at all. It was funny to see him trying to balance himself back up. We think that it's because he saw the other kids that day who were able to walk and play and jump around on the jumping castle. Meanwhile he was stuck in his baby stroller the whole time. Either that or because he got scared of Santa so he figured he should learn to walk and maybe he can then run away next time he sees Santa...
