We had a really nice time in Japan. The Japanese love babies. When we arrived in Tokyo, we started to notice how nice it was to be in Japan with our little baby. When we got to the immigration/customs area in the airport, Chocho let out a loud "AAAhhh". Luckily, one of the officers who managed the lines heard Chocho's "Aaahh" and replied with a "AAaaahhh" himself. He then guided us towards the shortest line! What a treat! We didn't have to wait in line like the others.
Wherever we went, people would always smile and play with Chocho. We went to this department store right across from our hotel in Tokyo to buy baby food. The ladies who worked there all loved Chocho. They couldn't stop playing with him. Too bad they didn't speak English, so we had no idea what they were saying to him. But below is a picture of a couple of them with Chocho.

In the past 4 weeks, Chocho has learned to do a number of things. While we were sitting in the shinkansen on our way to Kyoto from Tokyo, Chocho suddenly pulled himself up to a standing position by hanging on to our suitcase. He is now keen on doing this today. He also learned to make a motor boat noise with his lips. He would do it with alot of spit spraying everywhere. While we were visiting one of the temples in Kyoto, I suddenly noticed Chocho sticking his index finger into his nose! Yep, he is picking his nose!!! First his right nostril, then his left.

While shopping, I found a baby kimono outfit. I just had to get it for Chocho. He looks very cute in it.

When we were in Indo, one of my aunts introduced congee to Chocho. He loved it. It became his daily meal, next to his baby cereal I brought from here. He loves eating, and luckily he is able to eat alot of things. He's a big eater, too. He also started drinking formula while we were there. I'm glad that we found a formula that he's not allergic to. He's also learned how to drink through a drinking straw.
All in all it was a wonderful trip. We had a great time in Japan and Indonesia. It was amazing that Chocho didn't cry with any of my relatives. He was able to entertain everyone without getting cranky. He met his cousin who is a couple of months younger. Chocho also learned to headbutt people's heads. He was butting his cousin's head until his cousin cried! =) He also met other babies while in Japan.
Now we're back in our home sweet home again. It's good to be back. We're still trying hard to fight off this jet lag we've been going through. I think Chocho is finally starting to adjust. It has been a difficult week, Chocho would always be wide awake at 1am! Hopefully we'll all be able to sleep well again. Below are some pictures from our trip.
