Merry Christmas 2009! (con't)

Apart from writing his letter to Santa, this year Nicholas started the tradition of preparing snacks for Santa when he gets here. So on Christmas eve, before we went to bed, Nicholas got cookies and a glass of milk for Santa to snack on when he comes over to drop off presents for us. Santa got 2 short bread cookies and some milk waiting for him on our fireplace. Nicholas kept rambling on and on about how we need to feed Santa some cookies and milk when he comes over to bring gifts. He was going to leave more cookies but Dada mentioned that Santa might have to watch his weight. So Nicholas left him 2 short bread cookies only.

The next morning, Nicholas was the first one up. He ran up to my bed and said "Merry Christmas Mama!" How nice that was!!! Then he climbed up and was about to bug Dada when he said "OH! Santa must've came! Let's go down Let's go down!" Before I let him to go down, I tried to "code talk" dada to make sure that the cookies and milk were taken care of. But it was quite difficult to hold down an excited 4yr old while trying to talk to someone whose eyes weren't even open yet. Dada basically let him go down. He went to check the cookies and milk and was very pleased (and I was very relieved) to find the empty bowl and empty glass. Apparently Dada woke up at 5am and took care of the cookies and milk. :)

Opening presents was alot of fun and Nicholas helped Jasmine to open alot of her presents. He was also quite happy when he got his reindeer toy, what he wished for in his letter to Santa.

Hope everyone had a great Christmas! We definitely had a filling one!

Merry Christmas 2009!

This year, Nicholas started writing his own letter to Santa. He still needed alot of help with his writing, but since he's good at knowing the sounds every letter makes, he can often guess the next letter in each word.

He wrote this letter a little late, so Dada and I were frantically searching the malls for his toy wish. Initially he asked for another DS, a different colour one, he says. But of course, I had to quickly change his mind.

Today Chocho prepared the envelope and the letter is now ready for Dada to Fedex to Santa, since it's very late. :)

Merry Christmas!

Can you read his writing?

Christmas 2009

Last weekend we put up our christmas tree together. Chocho and Jasmine were working really hard to decorate the tree. After untanggling the Christmas lights, we had some fun taking pictures with the tree. Jasmine was all dressed as a christmas tree herself. :)

Baby Flossing

Jasmine is starting to snack on some meat once in a while, and after having some chicken, she had some bits stuck in her teeth. Dada had to floss her teeth to clean it out.

Another year, another birthday

Dada, Chocho, and Jassie put up another celebration for me. We did the usual cake night and took some pictures. When I went through the pictures, I realized that Jasmine kept staring at one thing, my cake. Not sure why.... ?

Dada did a good job decorating the cake. He copied Nicholas' drawing of us, the egg family. Nicholas also makes sure that the boys' hair and girls' hair are different, the boys have shorter, spiky hair, whereas Jasmine & I have longer hair. :)

Chopsticks

Nicholas is currently learning to eat using the chopsticks. So finally, he's using the chopsticks we got him when we all went to Tokyo a couple of years ago. Here he is eating his sushi.

Old School J

The other day when Jasmine woke up from her nap, she sported an old look. Her old hairstyle was back. Just for the day. :)

Walking hand-in-hand

We went to the mall the other day and the kids were roaming around all over the place on their own. We saw a Santa photosession, but we didn't take pictures with him. Instead, Jasmine & Nicholas were playing around Santa's photo area and found Humpty Dumpty. Why is Humpty Dumpty here, Nicholas asked. What's he got to do with Christmas? Good question. I also don't know.

On our way out, the kids started walking together, and holding hands! We were very surprised to see this, and I quickly took out my camera to capture the moment. Very funny indeed!

Christmas Party 2009

We went to the annual company Kids' X'mas party once more and this time Nicholas is not so scared as he was last year. Last year he would line up for alot of rides and change his mind (many times) just when it was his turn to go. This year he actually went on alot of rides and didn't even want to go home. Jasmine didn't really play anything, because she's still too small. But she was happy enough because she got to walk around everywhere to see everything and everyone there.

We went to see Santa and unfortunately Jasmine wasn't really happy sitting on someone so big, so red, with so much hair. :) But she had fun seeing all the kids, and the air snowmen.
