Nicholas loves to play with his sister Jasmine. Coming home from school he'd look for Jas. Waking up in the morning, he'd go into Jas' room to see if she's awake. If Jas wasn't in the same room as he is, he'd look for her. Since Jasmine is able to flip over to her tummy on her own, she's more interactive and started playing with her big brother. Hopefully they will always be this close with each other.

Filet-O-Fish

Today for lunch I decided to get Filet.O.Fish sandwich at McDonald's since I haven't had it for a while. When I opened the burger box, I couldn't stop admiring the smoothness of the bun. I know, I'm weird. It is so smooth, no dents, no wrinkles, no sesame seeds. I just had to take pictures of it and actually blog it. :)

Jasmine Plant update

Here's the second flower. Hope more will grow again soon.

Here she is! The first bloom came last night. Hopefully the rest of the plant will recover, too.

Where's the law of gravity?

It's interesting how Jasmine's hair defies the law of gravity. (actually, so did mine when I was her age)



I tried to put her hair down by clipping it. But of course, it went right back up as soon as the clip was off. What a huge forehead! :)

My orchids!

Today Nicholas went up to me and said "Mama, I put the flowers down because the butterfly was there."

"What flowers? what are you talking about?"
"The flowers in there." (points to where my plants are)

So I ran up to my orchids and found them broken off the stem. :(

Hope the flowers can stay well long enough in the water & we'll just have to wait for more to rebloom next time.

Jasmine update

We've been noticing that Jasmine likes to stare at us while we're eating. Sometimes her mouth would even move as if she was chewing something. So, last time we were sick, we made some chicken congee. And I decided to let her little tongue try some out. Of course she loves it. So ever since then, she's started her solid food journey. Now her daily menu includes baby rice cereal twice a day.
