Thomas Overload

Nicholas, just like most little boys I'm sure, lovesssss Thomas The Tank Engine & Friends. He knows all of the trains, all of their names, and their corresponding numbers. We have one (only one!) Thomas DVD which is only about 10min long, and he loves to watch it over and over and over and over and over again.... The DVD practically loops to the beginning everytime it ends, and it would be on all day long just so that he can be surrounded by Thomas and the theme song. He takes all of the train everywhere we go. Whether we go upstairs, downstairs, to bed, or to go out in general, those trains always come along! He even goes to the website and plays the games and learns all about the other trains.

Here he is chatting with aunty Cowee with his movie running in the background.

Last night, I tried to bargain with him, which is something that I probably shouldn't have started in the first place. I told him I would buy him another train if he'd do what I say. His eyes lighted up and he ran to me.

"I'll buy you Henry. You want Henry?"
"I want Henry, Mama."
"You want Henry?"
"I want Henry. ... And I want Emily."
"But you can only have one train. I thought you want Henry? Choose either Henry or Emily."
"I want Henry."
"OK, just Henry, no Emily, ok?"
"Ya. I want Henry. And Emily."
"What? But I told you, you can only choose one."
"I want Henry. And Edward."
"What? But Edward wasn't even an option!"
"I want Henry, and Emily, and Edward."
"No, you can only choose one. Just one!"
"I want Emily."
"OK, good. Just Emily."
..."And Edward."
"What??!!"
..."And Henry."

This practically went on for a while until I gave up, turned off the light and went to bed.

Later on that night, in the dark, while we were all in bed, we started hearing
"I want Henry, and Emily, and Edward, and Diesel, and Mavis, and Iron Bert, and Duckie, and..."

Mike cuts in & shouted "Don't forget Boco and Bertie, Sir Topham Hat, and Station Man." (At this point, I gave Mike a good whack for making the list even longer.)

He finally fell asleep last night, but the first thing he said this morning was "I want Henry. Where's my Henry?..."

Sum-Sum-Summer Time

Chocho loves the outdoor. Luckily, the weather is getting better everyday! We've been taking him to the park alot lately. He loves going down the slide & playing on the swing. Even Dada couldn't resist to go down the slide, while I was worried he would be stuck inside.

Time Out

I guess even heroes need to sleep.

Vincent Van Cho graduated!

Earlier this month, Nicholas graduated to the pre-school room. He says bye bye to the bee-hive room (toddler class) and moves on to the "big room" as he calls it, where all the big girls and boys are together from the age of 2.5yrs to 4yrs. So far so good. His teacher, Miss Michelle, says that he transitioned well, as if he's always been there.

One of his favourite thing about the big room are the computers, of course. They have computers for the kids to use, and they have to take turn using them. Apparently there is a bell that goes "ding" every 10min or so, and when the bell dings, their turn at the computer ends and someone else gets to use it. Miss Michelle says that Nicholas obeys the bell system. I find it hilarious that he obeys it. I'm always in awe whenever I learn something new about him learning something new! This is the same little guy who used to do nothing but eat and sleep and cry! :)

When he graduated, his teachers from the bee-hive room gave him a gift and put all his art work in a scrapbook. I find myself going through the scrapbook very often. Once again, I can't believe he created all of them! They're quite creative. Maybe he's got some hidden talent?

"Be vewwy, vewwy quiet. We're hunting wabbits"

This bunny's a regular in our backyard. Picture is a little dark, but you can see bunny's eye glowing.

Just chillin'

Valentine's & Easter 2008

This year's Valentine's day, Nicholas got alot of cards and candies from him friends. He also sent out valentine's cards to all his friends and teachers. One of his friends actually gave out stuffed toy to every kid in the class. Just what do these little people know about Valentine's & love anyways??

And for Easter, he decorated his own Easter egg. The teachers gave all the kids some goodies as well.

Thank you Jesus, for giving up your life for all of us.
