Dada doing?

Chocho is always very curious.. He loves to ask "Dada doing?"

In his younger days, he used to ask over and over (see here), but lately, I've noticed that he only asks once, and when I answer him, he replies with "Oh...", without fail!

Last weekend, we were out on the road, and needed to look up the address of where we were going, but I needed the internet because the info was buried somewhere in my email. Luckily, I brought my laptop with me. I pulled over in a residential area, hoping I'd get lucky and pick up a wifi signal.

Naturally, when I pulled out my laptop, Chocho was curious, and asked "Dada doing?"

"Dada's using his laptop to pick up an unencrypted wifi signal and check his email so that he can find out where to go," I responded.

Then I waited..

"...Oh," Chocho replied knowingly, after pausing for a few seconds.

Cat and I burst out laughing.. :)

More non-dancing

Couple of weeks ago, Chocho & Dada went to Oma's house (grandma) and she put on the Chicken dance song for him. Immediately he became upset and went to Mike to get some comfort. Oma asked him what's wrong, he said he doesn't like chicken dance. When they came home that night, he immediately reported to me that he didn't like chicken dance. "I no like chicken dance". Of course, I didn't know why he was telling me this. But then later on Mike explained what happened. I'm not sure why he doesn't like the chicken dance song. But he doesn't seem to like any dancing...

Waste Management

There is a green waste bin in the parking lot of his school and one day (quite a while ago) Nicholas spotted it. The big waste bin has a big "WM" on it (which stands for Waste Management) and Nicholas cannot resist saying "Double You Ehm" all the time whenever he sees it. He insists to have Mike drive close by to it so that he can see it very clearly. Everytime we drive by closer to it, he'd say "stop stop. Don't move!" And then he'd say "Hi double-you-ehm!" Once he's satisfied, Mike would always have to back up and go park.

Similarly, going home, he'd have Mike (his driver) drive by to the bin (which is actually the wrong way from the exit) so that he can say "bye double-you-ehm!" One day Mike actually forgot to go worship the garbage bin, and Nicholas was crying all the way home! From then on, he would always make sure to drive to WM.

This must have been going on for the last 2-3 monnths. Yes, he was never sick of WM, until today. Going home, he actually told Mike "I don't want to see WM. I don't want to see WM anymore." I guess the WM era is finally over. But we'll see if he really means what he says.
