Stickers!
Jassie loves her stickers. She sticks them all over the place. She loves to decorate the house with it. She puts them all over the car, too. And what's amazing is that she remembers where she puts them. I know this because I got in trouble when I peeled off a couple of them from the wall. She actually asked where the stickers went. And when she was told that they were just "a mess", she was quite upset! :) She loves her stickers so much that she sticks them even onto my leg, and I didn't even know that she did it!
Random Conversations
While walking outside during a windy day, Jasmine panicked, ran to her nanny and screams "hold me!!!"
When Chocho accused Jasmine of being greedy,
Jasmine: "I'm not greedy. I'm Jassie!"
Jassie points at bananas and says "Dada, that's shopping!" (No Frills, our grocery store)
Jassie sneezes
Jassie: "bless you Jassie"
Jassie: "thank you Jassie"
Chocho: "Mama, when I was in your tummy and you were eating, food fell on me, right? And then the doctor had to clean me up, right?"
While listening to radio commercials
Chocho: "How come they said there are 25 guys? I thought 3 of them were already eliminated?"
(Chocho watches the Bachelorette, and understands what the show is all about)
Chocho being philosophical:
Chocho: "Where did the first person come from?"
Dada: "Which came first, the chicken or the egg?"
Chocho: "the chicken"
Dada: "But who made the chicken, then?"
Chocho: "Jesus made the chicken. He made the people, too."

Jassiemon
Jasmine is growing up too fast. She's a sweet little girly girl who always makes people smile. She's got the sweetest baby girl voice that you can ever imagine, and she gives hugs and kisses willingly to anyone in need. She likes to dress up, and pretends to be a princess. She loves to sing in the car, and mothers her baby doll like crazy. She loves to play mommy that she would mother her drink bottle as she treats her bottle as her baby. But when she's mad, she's a totally different species! When she's mad, she's one big little monster. When she's mad, she's Jassiemon. Just like pokemon, she's tiny, cute, nice, but fights like a monster. Jasmine's famous for biting. When she gets mad, she bites. She's bitten her big brother a couple of times, and when she bites, he cries for a long time. I have no idea where she gets this from, as none of us bites in the family!
Jasmine is now eating better than when she was a baby. She's still quite the picky eater, and she still pockets her food in her mouth forever, if she doesn't like the food she's eating. She can keep it inside her mouth for a very long time. Even when we make her drink, she would still manage to keep her food in her mouth. But when she loves the food, she swallows so fast that she doesn't give you a chance to do anything but feed her. Her favourite food includes noodles, spaghetti, macaroni and cheese, fries, chocolate, and ice cream. Not only does she look like her Dada, but just like Dada, she loves the McD fries. When she sees McDonald's, she points to it and says "that's happy meal. I want fwies."
Jasmine now can pretty much dress up herself. She even insists in choosing her clothes. She's got quite the fashion sense as she loves to wear her long sleeves and pants underneath her dress. She also likes to wear socks with her sandals. :) She's always so proud of her clothes that she would always show it off to opa (my dad) or my friends whenever she sees them. When she's satisfied with her outfit, she comes to us and says "I'm nice" (as in, "I look nice"). :)
Jasmine is talking up a storm today. Her grammar is very good today, her sentences flow well and are actually making sense! She still says things like "pee jee" (PJ), or "toopeest" (toothpaste), or "fwies" (fries). She pays attention in the car to the radio. She picked up the word "bbq" over the radio. The one person who truly understands Jassie's baby language is her brother Chocho. He would always be the one translating for us when we can't seem to understand her. And of course, she gets annoyed, frustrated, and impatient when she can't be understood. Good thing there's the translator. :)
Jasmine is definitely not shy. When we walked Nicholas to his bus stop, Jasmine mingles with the other big kids who were waiting for the bus. She's not afraid of talking to new people as well.
Jasmine is definitely growing up. They grow up too fast. Good thing she still loves to give hugs and kisses.

Chocholas
It's been a while since we blogged, and during this time, many moments have gone by in the lives of Chocho & Jassie. They're now bigger, heavier, louder, and smarter. They fight, they copy each other, they chase each other, but the best part is that they play together and when they do play together, they can make each other laugh. I'm glad that they can get along sometimes, even though they can also fight well with one another.
Not too long ago, Chocho was playing with Jassie after dinner. They were doing their usual silly chasing and screaming thing. They were in the kitchen playing when suddenly we heard a big loud bum on the kitchen island. I didn't think about it much when I heard it, especially when they kept running around and screaming their head off after we heard the noise. But suddenly, not long after that, Chocho came to us in the tv room saying his head was bleeding. Apparently he hit his head hard against the edge of the kitchen island. He smeared blood all over his face, his hand was red, and his hair was wet with the blood. I panicked. I had never seen that much blood from either of my kids coming from the head. Mike quickly tried to stop the blood, while I was trying to figure out what to do and what happened. But the lucky thing is, Chocho was not in any pain at all. He was conscious the whole time, and he was not crying at all. We did not know if he needed stitches or not. The blood stopped not too long after, but we decided to bring him to see a doctor anyway. We thought of the ER, however, we knew that it would take him forever to be served, so Dada took him to a walk in clinic instead. I made him bring his DS so he would be occupied with his games. And of course it worked because he was kept busy with his games while waiting. Once again, he was not in any pain at all, and he still never cried. I was hoping that he wouldn't need any stitches at all, but instead, he came home with 3 staples on his head. :( The doctor gave him a needle before he put on the staples. Chocho was super brave that he did not cry at all. He told me afterwards that it was painful, and that he didn't like feeling it at all. But he decided to be brave and did not cry one bit. The doctor was so proud of him because he was being such a good boy. When he came home, my panic was worse than before, especially after seeing the staples attached to my little guy's head. I was not ready to see that! He said that it didn't hurt having them there, and that he still remembers things. He actually said to me "It's ok Mama. I still remember things. I still know what 4+4 is. Don't worry." What a trooper he is! Here I am the one crying and falling apart while he is the one getting patched away.
This incident has made me realized that little Chocho is now a big boy. A brave one. I don't really know how we taught him how to be brave, but somehow he's learned to be one. He has also grown to be a compassionate little guy. He saw that I was worried for him and he tried to make me feel better by assuring that he was ok. I couldn't believe it when he did that, he's only 5. I couldn't be more proud to be his mom! The doctor mentioned that the staples should be removed in a week, and of course his head was healed within the week! When he got them removed, he told me once again that it was painful and that he didn't like feeling it. But he still did not cry. We're so grateful that he is completely fine. We're so proud of you, Chocholas! :)
Here's Chocho after he came home from the doctor. He's lucky he didn't even need to shave his hair.
