Cheery Cherry!!!

This weekend we hopped onto our private jet and decided to spend the weekend in Tokyo to enjoy the Cherry Blossoms beauty!!! Nahhh... I wish! We don't have a private jet but we still got to enjoy the Cherry Blossoms this weekend. Yes, last year we missed it by a weekend! So this year, I made sure we would be able to make it on time to see the Cherry Blossoms at High Park. It is definitely something I wouldn't mind checking out every year, and being there has definitely made me want to plant one myself in our backyard! We thought it was going to be a tiring trip to get down there, as they closed the DVP this weekend (a major highway that connects us to the downtown area). But we decided to be brave enough to go down no matter what. Otherwise we may have to wait another 365 days to see it!!! These cherry blooms only lasts a short period of time, but is it ever worth it to wait for it every year, even if you get to see it for only a couple of weeks.

While we were there, the kids were both out loose and loved running around all over the place. Jassie was super happy to be able to run around and explore. Nicholas was out of control and kept wanting to go see everything. They both wanted to pet every dog they see there, and there were lots of dogs there that day, too!




Jassie couldn't focus on the camera here. She only wanted her milk, she was only looking at her bottle the whole time!


Nicholas was really happy to be there that day.

He was super tired of running around all over the place all day and was whining all the way back to the car. He was so tired that he kept sitting on the ground to take brakes. :) My feet were quite achey, too, when we got home. It was a super fun but tiring day. :)
